Performances with Freda Payne
Brent Edstrom was recently hired to perform with jazz vocalist Freda Payne at concerts in the Seattle area and Houston Texas. Ms. Payne will perform her "Tribute To Ella" show.
 
Upcoming performance with Andreas Oberg
Brent Edstrom will perform at the 2008 "Think Swing" festival with guitar sensation, Andreas Oberg, on the evening of November 7.
 
CDA Symphony premiers new piano concerto
The Coeur d' Alene symphony premiered Brent Edstrom’s new piano concerto on December 1, 2007. The 45 minute work, which featured both jazz and classical elements, was greeted by a standing ovation and encore.
 
Performance with Tim Reis , January 27, 2007
Brent Edstrom performed with Rolling Stones saxophonist Tim Reis and the Spokane Symphony Orchestra. Reis received a standing ovation for his performance of Yoshimatsu's "Cyberbird." For an encore, Reis performed a duet version of "Ruby Tuesday" with Edstrom.
 
New Oscar Peterson book
A third book of Oscar Peterson transcriptions has been completed for Hal Leonard Publishing. The book is now in the editing stage and will feature note-for note transcriptions and solo recreations in a “play along” format.
 
CDA Symphony performs orchestral prelude, October 2006
The Coeur d' Alene symphony performed two new orchestral works on October 14. The concert included a new classical composition titled "Seascapes For Orchestra" and a composition for jazz trio and orchestra titled "Emerald City."
 
Trio performs with Doc Severinsen, Sept. 2006
The Brent Edstrom trio performed with trumpet great Doc Severinsen, vocalist Carmen Bradford, and the Spokane Symphony orchestra. A nearly full house gave Severinsen and vocalist Carmen Bradford a standing ovation. Highlights included an impromptu encore with Severinsen, Bradford, Ernie Carlson, Todd DelGiudice and and the trio.
